Has anyone read a good book about i librarian or library?
My friend works at a library and for her birthday i want to get her a book about a librarian or a library, something cute. She also likes dirty librarian jokes so if you’ve read a book like that i would really appreciate you telling me one. You can’t google library and books together and expect to find a book about libraries doesn’t work.
I would highly recommend The Great Piratical Rumbustification & the Librarian and the Robbers by Margaret Mahy, Yep, it’s a children’s book, but the librarians I know think “Librarian and the Robbers” is a hoot. From the description at amazon:

If she likes comic strips, I recommend any of the Unshelved collections. “Unshelved” is a comic set in a library. Amazon has them or they’re available through the website:

BookLust by Nancy Pearl is a collection of essays recommending various books. Pearl is funny and lively, and well known among the library world.
Finally, at Archie McPhee’s website I found a booklet of Librarian tattoos. Really cute.
