i m making a library mgmt project in visual studio..i want the GUI OR designing of the project to be damn attractive..n which can be very easy for the user to understand..i want to add some graphics also..i’ll be very grateful if u can link me to a site where i can get a guideline..how a library project must look..or..where i can get good icons n graphics for the project..i would appreciate if u guide me for the background colours that i shoud use..or any animations i can use..to make it interesting..plz..m waiting..for ur answers..
Make it simple, make it beautiful, make it awesome. Keep in mind that a kickass GUI doesn’t need any fancy graphics, it just needs to be simple and comfortable. There are many books about GUI design, but you might want to take a look about GNOME’s GUI guidelines, they got it right in many aspects.
Try to simplify the underling code too. Also you might want to use QT instead of Windows native toolkit, QT is portable and simpler. (You could also take a look at Code::Blocks, it’s a nice IDE)
