science museum stuff

What kinds of things have you enjoyed doing in West Palm Beach, FL?
My girlfriend and I are going to West Palm Beach, FL for a wedding in the beginning of August. We have a couple of ideas about what we will do while we are their: Rapids Water Park, kayaking, fireworks (they are illegal where we are now), the science museum in Ft. Lauderdale, a day or 2 excurision to orlando to see some Disney stuff (though we dont want to spend much time up there because our hotel is already paid for in Boca Raton-which is near West Palm Beach).
I used to live in West Palm Beach, but I know it has changed a great deal since I was there last and my girlfriend has only been there once..and this is our first vacation in an extremely long time. So I want to make sure we have a good time.
What kinds of things have you done down there, what ideas do you have that are specific to the area, and, if you live down there or know the area, what suggestions do you have for things we can do there that we cant do in Connecticut (which is just about everything)?
If you like to gamble there’s the Palm Beach Kennel Club (dog track), or you could go to the Coconut Creek Casino on Sample near Boca.
You could take her on the Palm Beach Princess (nice buffet for brunch or dinner) and sailing for about 5 hours and other entertainment is on the ship, too.
Of course you guys could go cruising in Palm Beach and look at the large mansions on the beach. If she likes to shop, take her to the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.
Of course there’s the beach, and depending on your tastes in entertainment- there’s Rachel’s Steakhouse on 45th Street. Some couples like to go there for kicks. If you remember, it’s suppose to be a “classy” gentleman’s club. If you guys want a taste of something extraordinary.
Enjoy your stay in sunny West Palm Beach. Man, I’m home sick. I moved to Atlanta last year. Miss the sunshine! Have fun, though.

teacher librarian resources

Is there any rescource I can use (that I haven’t already) to help me find a career?
Seriously, I have devouted my whole youth to finding a career I would like to do. Every possible career that has touched an interest of mine I have researched and have no interest in doing. I have researched everything from geomorphologist volcanologist, petroleum geologist, university teacher, entomologist, climatologist, meteorologist, zoologist, biologist, Author, Cartographer, GIS Specialist, Travel Agnent, Economist, Mathematician, Business Owner, Real Estate Agent, Civil Engineer, Agronomist, Mechanical Engineer, Petroleum Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Public Policy Analyst, Counter-Terrorism worker, Librarian, Hydrologist, Physicst, Glaciologist, etc. EVERYTHING! There is not one career for me that I have discovered. Is there any other possible resource I can use to help me? I can’t think of anything else to do??? I have talked to people, therapists, career people, councelors, etc. etc. I am out of ideas?
may i suggest a reading of ’48 days to work u love’ d.miller . a good book for going forward and plenty of fresh reference material and ideas.
the other one is ‘total money make over’ d.ramsey helps our folks retain their cash.
spending less and getting more value from their paychecks.
our associates have a mandatory read of the books.

teacher librarian network

The brainchild of writer Joss Whedon, Buffy The Vampire Slayer originally entered American pop culture as a full-length feature film, starring Kristy Swanson, in 1992. But creator Whedon felt that the project never quite did justice to the full scope of his vision, so he managed turn the film into a television series in 1997. The result of Whedon’s increased artistic freedom is a series that has enjoyed both critical acclaim and audience notoriety. Nominated for 14 Emmy’s during its seven year run, the show managed to win only two (both in 1998 for Outstanding Makeup and Outstanding Music Composition in a television series). Yet, the true success for Buffy The Vampire Slayer is indicated by the massive success of the show’s long run, strong DVD sales, and the overwhelming success of the series spin-off Angel…
Sarah Michelle Gellar plays the title role of Buffy Anne Summers, a teenage girl who stands alone among her generation as the “chosen one” able to “stand against vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer…” But Buffy is not alone in fulfilling her destiny as a slayer of vampires. She also receives help from the high school librarian, Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), who is a Watcher – the one chosen to train and guide slayers on their developmental path. In addition, new friends Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan – of American Pie fame) and Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon) quickly uncover the truth of Buffy’s destiny, and they often aid her in defending the world against evil forces…

When her secret is revealed to new friends Willow and Xander, the three must work together to keep the master vampire from using his vessel to enter their reality… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include “The Harvest” in which Buffy prepares to face down the master vampire’s henchmen so she can stop the harvest (a ceremony which will free the Master), and “I Robot, You Jane” in which Buffy and the Scooby gang discover a demon trapped in the school’s computer network…
