Museum and Archival management or Web Design?
Hey everyone. I was wondering if you could help me out.
I am just finishing up my university undergrad in Art History at the University of Guelph. I decided it would probably be a good thing if I took a college program, but I’m stuck on what program to take in the fall. It is a choice between Web Design at Fanshawe or Museum and Archival management at Fleming. Fleming is 4 hours away from home, which I’m not entirely comfortable with, plus I’m not too sure if I’ll even be able to find a job when I finish the course. I’ve been dabbling in web design since I was about 13, and in the 2 short classes I took at Guelph (Photoshop and Illustrator) I earned my highest marks ever.
I’m just wondering what path would you recommend. Is it just as hard to get into the Web Design industry as it is Museum management? what do you think would be the best to pursue??
Any feedback would be highly appreciated!
Because of the world’s economy, it’s a very difficult time to find a museum job. My daughter has a Master’s from one of the top art schools in the UK and hasn’t had much luck. I think you would do better looking for a job with a commercial enterprise

Advice on getting to the natural history museum?
i am travelling from oxford tomorrow to the natural history museum. i am going by train, can anyone tell me what is the best stop in london and what tube i need to get on?? it is paddington to south kensington? i cant understand the tube maps!

Yes when you get off the train at Paddington, catch the Underground Circle Line to South Kensington. The museum is well signed from the station
