Serious iTunes music download problem?

I purchased Viva la Vida from Coldplay’s album with the same name. It seemed to download fine, but then iTunes apparently froze during the processing of the file.

You probably can just re-name it, however you can also call up apple and explain that your download was interrupted. They can verify your purchase and you can re-download it again.

How to copy a file on a Mac?

Hi guys,

It’s really easy, open a new finder window (this is the way you browse files on a mac), and click on the side bar icon that says ‘applications’, when you’re in that folder you then need to find the ‘Library’ folder, then in the library folder you need to click on ‘application support’, then inside the application support folder you need to find the ‘Native instruments’ folder, and inside that folder you need to find the ‘service center’ folder, and finally inside this folder you will come across the file you need to copy: ‘Traktor.xml’

In other words:

Applications/ Library/ Application Support/ Native Instruments/ Service Center/Traktor.xml

Get It?

Now that you have browsed through all those folders and found ‘Traktor.xml’ you will need to copy it. Right click on Traktor.xml, this will bring up a menu with a list of options. Click on ‘Copy’, this will copy that file ready for you to paste it anywhere you like.

Next step (this is where you are going to copy the file to) – you need to double click on the Machintosh HD icon on your desktop – this will bring up a new finder window, and now (like I explained in the previous paragraph) you will need to browse through all these folders:

Macintosh HD/ Library/ Application Support/ Native Instruments/ Service Center

Until you get to the ‘Service Center’ folder. double click the service center folder to open it, now all you need to do is right click anywhere inside that folders window, this will bring up a list of options, choose ‘paste’. You have now copied the ‘Traktor.xml’ file to the ‘Service center’ folder.

Now do the same again but following the rest of the instructions you have posted.

Now you can activate Traktor using the Service Center, but im not sure what this end part means, I gather you must know because its the solution to whatever problem you have been experiencing.

One thing that does concern me is that if you don’t have a grasp of a very basic concept in computing such as browsing, then how can you know that this is even a solution to your problem to start with? Do you know what the ‘Service Center’ or ‘Traktor’ is?

I don’t mean to sound patronising, just want to make sure you actually know what to do next after you have copied these files over.

iTunes help. Is there a way to have two computers run the same iTunes library?

My husband and I both have Mac’s. Mine is an iMac and his is a Mac Book Pro. I have all our iTunes library stored on my Mac and he would like to access it or install it on his Pro. Is there a way to do this?

what you can do is to just save all the music you have onto a flash drive
and look for the itunes folder then in the same folder the itunes folder was in drag it also to the flash drive
then just put it into the other mac folder
that the itunes folder was in your mac
