library bookshelf labels

How can I display Gay and Lesbian books in my classroom?
I teach middle school and my school district gave us a $750 grant to buy books for our classroom library. Part of the money has to be spent on books with Gay and Lesbian themes. I have a classroom library. It’s a bookshelf with 5 shelves. On each shelf I have 4 plastic bins with labels such as “horror”, “drama”, “action”, “romance”, “non fiction”, “challenge” and I have a bin called “misc”.
Should I intermix the Gay and Lesbian books with the other books or should I make a new bin for “gay and lesbian”? I don’t want kids to be embarrassed to take out any of the books.
Thanks,
Put the books into whatever category they fit into, like horror, romance, sci-fi, whatever. But on the corner of the title page or even on the inside of the cover, how about putting something like a rainbow sticker? That way, when the kids ask you what that means, you can tell them and let them decide whether or not they want to check out those books without everyone else giving them a lot of static about it.

Is Dr. Punyamurtula a Quack ?
Is Dr. Punyamurtula a Quack ?
Day for a dateShodden Freud »The mysterious National Library of Addictions
Of all the libraries in all the world, which is the most addictive — and the most mysterious? Perhaps it’s The National Library of Addictions.
This addictive entity is located in Brookline, Massachusetts. Founded by Punyamurtula S. Kishore, M.D., M.P.H., it is said to be “an intellectual gathering place for health care professionals and community members.”
The institution is little known to the library-loving public, and information about it is scarce.
Many questions present themselves. What addictions are kept in the library’s collection, and which of them are available for use by the public? Which of these addictions can be taken out on loan? Is there a children’s room, or is the library open only to adults?
Bibliophiles note with pleasure that the library appears to own at least one book.
