Visiting the aquarium is definitely one of the most enriching experience for your kids. Capturing their hearts are highly interactive galleries with touch tanks, video presentations, wildlife tours and diving with the sharks, just to name a few. Bring your kids to the aquarium and learn about aquatic life through exploration and discovery and bring back fond memories of the aquarium.
1. Before visiting the aquarium, get your kids to visit the homepage of the aquarium. Sometimes, the aquarium may feature on-line activities or printables for kids. You may also get a chance to view the animals right at home through the many web cams facilities provided by the aquarium.
2. Find out the history of the aquarium, its mission, and its future tasks. Learn about the aquarium’s adoption program.
3. Print out aquarium e-newsletters, if any.
4. Print out the pictures of the amazing underwater animals from the homepage and get your kids to identify them at the aquarium.
5. Check the calendar of events of the aquarium. Aquariums are likely to have some daily events and seasonal events. Do not miss their training sessions where you can watch aquarists feed and train the sea animals.
6. Find out the programs offer by the aquarium. Some aquariums allow you to feed the animals at allocated times.
7. Occasionally, aquariums do offer special programs such as swim with the dolphins or sharks. Such programs allow participants to get close to the mammals and learn about their behavior.
8. Interestingly, many aquariums are setting up their own clubs such as kids club, dive club and snorkeling club. Get your kids to experience a new adventure or acquire a new skill this season.
9. Enjoy a cruise with the aquarium. Some aquariums do organise whale-watching cruises.
10. Visit the touch tank of the aquarium and learn to be gentle with the animals.
11. Bring along drawing papers and encourage your kids to draw the sea animals.
12. Take your kids for an animal presentation, where you can see the natural behaviours of the underwater animals.
13. Bring your camera to capture shots of animal movements.
14. Encourage your kids to make a scrapbook of the aquarium trip.
15. Pick up any worksheets for kids. Or make worksheets yourself. Join the crafts sessions at the aquarium.
16. Learn about the aquarium conservation projects.
17. Some aquariums allow kids to be aquarium-keepers for a day.
18. Join the aquarium camp ! Campers may get to enjoy some of the exclusive behind-the-scenes activities, excursions, daily field trips to wildlife habitats, and an enjoyable overnight camp.
19. Join the aquarium’s overnight program ! It is a rare chance to explore the aquarium after hours, and you can get to participate in a variety of activities organised by the staff. With an expert guide, you may get to visit the aquarium’s behind-the-scenes areas and the food-preparation area to learn how the animals are cared for and fed.

If you are building your own home should you have two stories?
Some people wonder about two-story houses.
When are they advisable?
If your land is too restricted to get all the space you want on one floor, then the logical thing is to build on more than one floor, but if it isn’t necessary, why climb steps all your life? It takes valuable energy, steps take up room, and they cost money, more in proportion than almost any other part of the house.
Of course, some builders say that since the same roof and foundation will serve two stories as well as one, therefore the two-story house is cheaper.
It isn’t necessarily so the framing has to be heavier to support the second floor, and the joists have to be larger to span the large rooms on the first floor.
It costs more to work higher up, with scaffolding and all, so there is not much, if any, economy in building two stories if one would serve your purpose better. Although, if you prefer two stories, go ahead and build that way.
The cost is about the same. Ordinarily, housekeeping is simpler and easier in a house all on one level. Great efficiency is usually found in the one-story house.
Basements
What about a basement? In sections where basements are considered a part of every complete house, the thing to do is to keep in step with the locality. In sections where basements are considered entirely unnecessary, the thing to do is to keep in step-but in either case, if you have good reason to be different from your neighbors, why not go ahead and do as you please?
A small basement makes a good air raid shelter, and a shelter from atomic fallout that we hear so much about nowadays. In fact, it might be a good idea to build a partial basement just for this purpose. You could also find other uses for it too, as a recreation room, a den, a boy’s hobby room, etc. You will usually find use for any room that you have.
Although the latest fads do not have to be followed, a person should be careful not to make the house look as if it had been built twenty-five years ago.
The new houses are more straightforward, not having so much that is put on just for decoration. The decoration has also taken a different form; instead of fancy gables we have “used” brick, instead of “gingerbread,” “sugar frosting.”
The days of imitation are also about gone. Time was when wood siding was cut and notched to imitate stone.
(Even Washington’s home in Mount Vernon did not escape this subterfuge.) Painters used to use a background color and graining to make pine look like walnut, mahogany, or gum wood. It is now just as inexpensive to use the kind of wood you want as it is to try to make one kind of wood imitate some other kind.

Do u think this guy is picking up on my signals sitting next to me? Everytime he clicks his mouse I click mine
There’s this guy sitting next to me in the library. There are like a stack of books in between us tho. I am trying to send him some signals. Everytime he clicks on his mouse at his computer I click on mine. There loud enough where he can hear it. I mean, at first no one notices anything like this but u start to pick up on it after a half hour that every time you’ve clicked on ur mouse, someone clicks on there’s and everytime u type on the keyboard this same person types. Would u notice this if it were going on long enough by a person sitting next to u? And if u did notice it, what would u think of that person? Would u think he was hitting on u? For a period of time, I actually think he was clicking his mouse everytime I clicked mine. Ooh la la. It’s getting hot in here. I’m surprised no one has yelled at us yet to ‘Get a room.’ ya know. lol! Anyway, let me get back to this and see if he gives me his number
