Why didn’t the abuse and genocide of the Navajo by John McCain ever get mentioned in the campaigns?

This site is from the Navajo themselves and shows video testimony of their elders. http://www.cain2008.org/
I found this at Library of congress supporting it to be true.

To those of you who say it didn’t happen in 1994. Check the facts for yourself or shut up.

Are you really expecting our media, much less our government, to be forthright about our interactions and dealings with Native Americans?

I do enjoy the “liberal bias” claims though, those are good for a chuckle. If people stopped and realized that we all have a bias, it makes it easier to accept individual bias within the media.

Great Performances from the Library of Congress: Vol. 7, Leopold Stokowski

$12.79

Leopold Stokowski (1882-1977) was certainly one of the most celebrated conductors of his era, and, some would say, one of the most notorious also! His appearance in Hollywood films (with Deanna Durbin), and his collaboration with Walt Disney (Fantasia) took full advantage of his highly photogenic appearance, and quickly thrust the maestro into the limelight of pop culture. Stokowski was a legenda…

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

$4.98

Political heavyweights decide that Jefferson Smith (James Stewart), an obscure scoutmaster in a small town, would be the perfect dupe to fill a vacant U.S. Senate chair. Surely this naive bumpkin can be easily controlled by the senior senator (Claude Rains) from his state, a respectable and corrupted career politician. Director Frank Capra fills the movie with Smith’s wide-eyed wonder at the glori…

Indian Voting rights act?

On June 2, 1924, Congress enacted the Indian Citizenship Act, which granted citizenship to all Native Americans born in the U.S. The right to vote, however, was governed by state law; until 1957, some states barred Native Americans from voting. In a WPA interview from the 1930s, Henry Mitchell describes the attitude toward Native Americans in Maine, one of the last states to comply with the Indian Citizenship Act:

This link is from the library of congress.
Just thought I’d let you ‘no indian alive today had anything wrong done to them’ people LEARN a little more.

I read accounts just from the last 2 presidential elections where Indians were threatened when they tried to vote in Colorado and other areas.

Racism has never gone away.
