museum curators salary
Average Salary??????????????????

Ok so I’m looking into getting into the PhD in archeology and a bachelors in anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. My question is, is that after that how much does an archaeologist make on digs and expeditions, professors and museum curators in some of the worlds well known museums (Normandy, Cairo etc,)
I do love it and I understand you do it out of passion but money is nice too! I’ll be doing it regardless of salary, I’m ust curious!

Check out www.salary.com for the annual salary of an archeologist in a particular city, state, country.

Good luck!

How to act when all alone?

I recently joined a division of the local arts council for young professionals. Tonight is the first event at a local museum. I will be going alone and have no idea if I will run into someone that I know. I haven’t been able to get anyone to go along with me. I am assuming that most people there will be in couples or with friends. What are some tips for being less akward by myself and still having a good time? Or should I just skip this event and go the other scheduled things which are all plays and performances? Thanks

Why do you assume everyone will be with someone?

Probably not.

You need to learn how to mingle.

Siddle up to a small group, or approach someone who’s alone.

If it’s a group, listen in on the conversation until you have a chance to participate. Don’t overdo or try to take over.

If it’s a person, ask them general questions and get them talking about themselves, then interject stuff about yourself.

After a bit, move on.

If you find more than one person on their own, and introduce them to each other, and then introduce another, you can get a little group going, and everyone will be deeply grateful.

Architecture needs mechanisms that allow it to become connected to culture. It achieves this by continually capturing the forces that shape society as material to work with. Architecture’s materiality is therefore a composite one, made up of visible forces (structural, functional, physical) as well as invisible forces (cultural, political, temporal). Architecture progresses through new concepts th…

Career with animals???

I want to have a career with animals, but don’t want to do marine biology, zoology, or vet med. I really want to work with animals though, like at a shelter or conservation group. But my question is, what would I major in?

Im going to school to be a vet tech, if you want to work with animals you have to take a lot of science and biology classes. I also had to take an animal CPR class, it was a lot of fun. Good luck with you animal career!!
