museum studies certificate

I would like to work in a museum.?
I want to go to school, but am not enrolled yet, for art history or a museum studies certificate. In the meantime I would like to get some practical experience in an actual museum. Must I volunteer, or is there a paid, entry-level type of position I should be looking into?
You can volunteer, get an internship, or apply for a job. My friend had an internship one summer during college at the Museum of Man in San Diego. SOOO cool!! Good luck.

library degree australia

Which is better Scottish University or Australian University to study a postgraduate degree?
I am a considering studying library and information science at either Robert Gorden University in Scotland or Charles Sturt University in Australia. Reason for my choices for foreign universities is that I can be more competitive, than attending a us university in the same programme. I am an American Citizen and spend some time aboard in the UK and Ireland! Any suggestions on what I should choose to study and where!
G’day,
From the 2 countries you mentioned, Australia is most likely have the lowest cost of living, and probably the lowest tuition fee as well due to currency exchange. For Australia, on top of tuition fees, you will need to pay for campus fee (vary from each uni) and Overseas Student Health Cover (abt AUD$350/yr) and text books (abt AUD$200). These are the rough estimate of the fees for your study.
Before coming to Australia, you will need to pay the fee for student visa processing and health check-up. You may also be required to take an IELTS test for indication of your English proficiency (depending which country you come from) for application to uni and for visa.
Unfortunately I dun have much info abt Robert Gorden Uni. Charles Sturt Uni (CSU) is one of only 42 universities in Australia, all of the are fully accredited and tightly controlled. So I believe that in regards to recognition, you dun have any problems.
I think the most important thing is to find out where do you want to work. The reason being is, employers will probably still prefer local university graduates than overseas, especially in the US (so I was told).
To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered (other than CSU), I suggest you to go to Dept of Education, Science and Technology (http://cricos.dest.gov.au) and IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. You need to make sure what psychology you want to study. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification
Hope this helps. Good luck on your study

conservation groups australia

Are you participating in Earth Hour?
Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions. It may also help reduce light pollution, and in 2008, coincides with the beginning of National Dark Sky Week in the USA.
It is promoted by World Wide Fund for Nature Australia (WWF), an environmental lobby group, and the Sydney Morning Herald. The first Earth Hour was held in Sydney, Australia between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm on 31 March 2007. The 2007 Earth Hour is estimated to have cut Sydney’s mains electricity consumption by between 2.1% and 10.2% for that hour, with as many as 2.2 million people taking part. Earth Hour 2008 marks the first anniversary of the event with many partner cities and individuals around the world participating.
Of course I am and all you people who say no should be ashamed of yourself. Because this is something that will help our earth and its not a gimmick. Also the person who say that people should stop having babys go away. If we stop having babies the population would die out so not a smart comment.

Well you might try a different internet browser just to be sure. If that doesn’t work though, you could try this website. It searches library catalogs from around the world. If you can’t get your library’s page to work – you might be able to find what you need here. I hope it helps!
