“invisible” tab/worksheet in Excel 2004 v11.5.3 for Mac?
I added a tab/worksheet to a database I’m making last night – it was “gone” this a.m. when I went back to work on it. Didn’t think it was much of a problem, as I hadn’t entered much data, but when I went to “recreate” the (name of the) worksheet, Excel would NOT let me use the name, informing me that I “Cannot rename a sheet to the same name as another sheet, a referenced object library, or a workbook referenced by Visual Basic.” Can anyone tell me how to either find and/or delete this phantom file so that I can resume work with the original or replace it? Thanks in advance!
Worked like a charm – thanks!
It sounds like your worksheet has somehow become ‘hidden’. I am not familiar with Excel for Macs, but somewhere in Excel you should be able to find ‘Format > Sheet’ and select ‘Unhide’. If you see your sheet, select and it and click OK.
